Leon Bekker, George, was found guilty because he has broken the Law on Natural Living Resources, which condemns attempts to hurt, kill or have in possession of a white shark, Daily Mail.
Bekker said he had no knowledge of these matters, but he pleaded guilty to not to delay the work of the Court.
The court sentenced him to 12 months' imprisonment, or 8,550 pounds. This is the first time that a court imposes such a decision until today.
